Hi there! Cortney here. I work as an editor and proofreader. I have been writing, editing, and proofreading for over seven years at the academic level. I first honed my editing skills teaching middle and high school English for six years before pursing graduate education full-time. I am currently a PhD candidate in English as well as a wife and mother to two beautiful daughters.

I hold a MA in English from Northwestern State University in Louisiana and a Poynter ACES certificate in editing. I am also a member of ACES: The Society for Editing.

I have experience with MLA, Chicago, APA, and AP style writing guides.
